Stringwood is open to advanced string players ages 12-19. Acceptance is based on a successful audition that demonstrates applicants' variety of musical and technical skills and knowledge of style and interpretion. Level of repertoire and chamber music experience are taken into consideration when forming ensembles. In-person auditions are preferred and can be scheduled by calling (651)-238-4945. Program Cost:
Application Fee : $50/$75 Tuition, plus Room & Board: $1450 Students should also plan to pay for the coin-operated laundry, located in the Eagle Bluff dorm, the Eagle Bluff gift-shop, the Whalen Pie Shoppe, and any personal shopping in Lanesboro or on tour. Stringwood keeps its tuition and fees well below that of similar programs across the country. Therefore, scholarships are granted to outstanding students on a need-only basis, upon request and following confirmation of need. Stringwood at the Eagle Bluff Environmental Learning Center is located 127 miles south of the Minneapolis/St. Paul International Airport, 57 miles west of the La Crosse Municipal Airport, and 45 miles south of the Rochester Municipal Airport. |
