Stringwood Header

Join us in June 2012 as we celebrate Stringwood’s 12th season of brilliant chamber music performances by the acclaimed Artaria String Quartet and their seasoned guest artists. Artist Festival concerts on June 13th and June 20th at the Commonweal Theatre in Lanesboro highlight the genius of Felix Mendelssohn’s extraordinary Octet and his virtuosic Quartet in D Major.   Featured guest artists include Laura Thielke, Renee Moore-Skerik, and Jonathan Sturm.

Founded and directed by the award-winning Artaria String Quartet, Stringwood presents inspiring guest rtists, masterclasses that motivate, special presentations by violin and bow makers, and breath-taking performances by the highly talented Young Artist participants, along with plenty of outdoor activities to rev up creative minds for music making.

Stringwood alumni excel in chamber music at our country’s most prestigious music schools, compete nationally, and are featured on NPR’s prestigious FROM THE TOP   radio program(click here).

Make Stringwood your summer music destination of choice for practice, preparation, and great chamber music in a great setting!  We’re confident it will be a memorable experience.
